Valerie Rosenfield is a Certified EMDR therapist and EMDR consultant with a psychotherapy practice in the San Francisco Bay area for over 15 years. She holds an MSW from Smith College School of Social Work and BA in Psychology from Mills College. Valerie treats clients in her private practice, and previously worked at JFCS East Bay, a non-profit community mental health center. Her specialties include the treatment of multiple types of trauma including, but not limited to, sequelae associated with physical, emotional, and sexual trauma, immigration, cultural conflict, and relationship violence. She holds a Certificate of Psychedelic Assisted Therapy and Research from CIIS and focuses on integration work. Underlying her work is a life-long interest in the importance of self-reflection and self-awareness in deeply rooted assumptions and beliefs about culture, the self, and identity group memberships.
